Imagine, you're in a potential emergency, and the Alarm Company calls and instead of getting critical information ASAP, you're stuck in some bureaucratic security theater. I get why protocols exist, but they should have some common sense built in.

Then they tell you why they make you answer the ultra secure "Secret Password Question" Because, "What if you were being held hostage and the kidnapper answers the phone? We could be giving the kidnapper secure information." This is what I was actually told today.
The hostage scenario? That’s got to be one of the least likely events imaginable. Meanwhile, an actual emergency—fire, flood, break-in—is way more probable, and they’re delaying any response to it over a damn code word? Wild.

If they’re worried about security, there should be a better system. Maybe caller ID verification, a second call-back system, or at the very least, leading with "We have a fire alarm at your home—can you confirm your code word?" Instead of leaving you guessing.

Sounds like Peak is run by people who have never actually thought about how these situations play out in real life.

Works fine until it doesn’t. And when it doesn’t it gets ugly quickly. We couldn’t set an alarm for our location and they told us to just leave it be for a couple days. Didn’t know when they could come out to fix it. And the likelihood something would happen was low. Then have the balls to try and charge a cancelation fee when we switched to a provider that actually cares about their customers property. If they can’t support their own product why should we be paying for anything?

They were very professional and great with the install how ever we have been trying to get them to service/ repair camera system since November of 2019 it is now April of 2020 they have sent two different techs out both diagnosed the same part. Recieved a bill for them to show up and not fix the problem after 6 plus months they did get cameras working all 4 different feild techs were vary professional how ever not inpresed with the time and it took to resolve the issue

customer service is lacking to say the least. I use this company for my business and NEVER get help with the people who answer the phone. can’t teach an old dog new tricks. upgrade needs to happen in the customer service department! beside that’s the gentleman who installed my system was amazing, funny and so helpful! wish i could deal with him every time! but they charge you if the front desk can’t do it which is everytime i call lol

After 20 years as a continually paying customer, our association has ended in a dispute over charitable donation for the local high school. The business owner is not equipped to handle customer service nor does she know the first thing about professionalism.

Moved may business and these guys billed me $279 for canceling my current contract; I threatened to cancel my other services so they waived the bogus fee but I won't be using them in the future nor in my new location.
