Where was jogging on this road this morning in Parachute Colorado about 8:00 driver of an Xcel Energy truck decided not to stop at a stop sign and not paying attention to pedestrians me.

Maybe this guy was talking on his phone I don't know I don't know why he wasn't paying attention and I don't know why he was in such a hurry to get somewhere.

There is a grade school not too far away from where this is at so hell he needs to pay attention to what's going on and I'm not sure why he wasn't so shame on them and then I called the customer service for Xcel Energy and they are absolutely worthless.

Xcel Energy is a textbook example of a company that abuses its monopoly to exploit customers at every turn. They constantly raise rates with no justification, provide horrendous customer service, and let their infrastructure fall into disrepair while pocketing the profits. But it gets worse—if your payment doesn’t go through, they’ll hit you with a fee, because why not squeeze even more money out of you? And let’s not forget the absurd monthly fee they charge if you dare to opt out of their so-called “smart meter” program. That’s right: they’ll punish you for not wanting their invasive technology by tacking on yet another unnecessary charge. Outages are frequent, responses are slow, and their support team is utterly useless. Xcel Energy doesn’t care about its customers because it knows you have no alternatives. They’re greedy, incompetent, and downright predatory. Avoid them if you can—but chances are, you’re stuck with this dumpster fire of a company.

I have tried for 5 days to contact Customer Service via phone, email and even a visit to the local office. When I got to the locked door there was sign that said, FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE CALL 1-800-895-4999; the exact number I'd been calling with no success.
Do you think the Utilities Commission could help us get better service?

I spent overe an hour on the phone with a very willing service representative. However, she was unable to find anything that would help. My bill for gas is horrendous and I'd like to do something about it. Xcel is completely unable (unwilling?) to provide any phone or website or email assistance

They suck! I’m trying to close out my account bc I am moving and have a different company. They want me to read the meter for water/electricity or they will charge me $70 to come out and read it on the day of closing. I took pictures of my meter and I went to the Xcel building and went to both visible entrances and they are locked and no one answers. Then I called and after being on hold for OVER 30 minutes they say they can’t help me. REALLY? They just want every cent they can get out of their customers that they can get. I hope I NEVER have to use them again!!!

WORST COMPANY FOR ENERGY! Unfortunately our town can’t seem to do anything about it! Every time I’ve called to talk to someone I get a very rude and unprofessional person every single time! Xcel Engery shut off my power without any notices!!! Nor was my power being shut off my fault!! Excel energy let the bill accumulate for years without sending notices to my property!! They State they have sent notices but it wasn’t to my address otherwise I’d have mail!! Keep in mind ITS STILL THE MIDDLE OF WINTER!!! I have a child in my home under the age of 1!! In the STATE OF COLORADO THAT IS ILLEGAL TO DO!! Does anyone do anything about this? ABSOLUTELY NOT!! How is it okay for the business to shut off my power without notice going against state laws!!!!!

Wow I have had Xcel energy when I lived in Glenwood Springs and now living here in GJ …. Idk what in the world is the difference but I’ve had many troubles with this company here in GJ….
My problem is being told that “I’m uneducated in big businesses and how they work” well let me say this to the representative and the entire company. There is a difference between PROCESSED and PENDING… one means that it’s been finalized and the other means it’s on the way to being finalized… so please tell me why 45.00 that is a PROCESSED payment is not showing in the account. Also please explain to your associates that no matter what business it is … the business will not process a recipe unless they payment has been taken. I think that it’s funny that you’ve added my 89.00 to the account but the 45.00 I paid is just up in the air!!!
